Welcome to Kathmandu, the starting point of your Pikey Peak adventure. Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in the city. After settling in, you can relax or explore the surrounding area. In the evening, your trekking team will provide a trip briefing, explain the route, check your equipment, and help you prepare for the journey into the Solukhumbu region.

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive east from Kathmandu toward Dhap Bazaar. The journey follows winding hill roads through changing landscapes, passing terraced farmland, rural settlements, rivers, and forested hills along the way. As you approach Dhap, the landscape becomes more mountainous and the air noticeably cooler. Dhap is the starting point for the main trekking section and provides a peaceful introduction to the Solukhumbu region.

Continue toward Pikey Base Camp, where you will spend the night preparing for the early-morning summit hike.

From the top, clear weather can reveal a sweeping Himalayan panorama including Mount Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, Kanchenjunga, Numbur Himal, Gaurishankar, Mera Peak, and other surrounding peaks. After spending time at the summit, descend to the trail and continue through forests and mountain landscapes toward Junbesi. Junbesi is one of the important Sherpa settlements in the Solu region and provides a very different atmosphere from the high ridges of Pikey.

The day also provides valuable recovery time after the Pikey Peak summit while allowing you to experience local village life at a more relaxed pace.

After breakfast, begin the return journey to Kathmandu by road. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a well-earned rest.
